About
A technophile by day involved in technical education, support, and empowerment with lapses resulting in creative pursuits. I love creating anything and everything (well almost).
Remember friendship bracelets and lanyard keychains? That’s probably where my creative projects started on a more serious basis. When time permits (which isn’t too often), I make jewelry.
When I was 8, I started learning how to play the violin and at 9, the piano. I’ve played in several public school orchestras.
I eventually picked up baking and cooking when I moved into my own place. Eating is pretty fun, though. I’ve also started a journey in growing edibles and was lucky enough to inherit two fully grown loquat trees in my backyard.
I’m not a painter by any means and consider myself horrible at drawing, but I have taken a class on Chinese Brush Painting. Painting seems less scary now.
I started taking photos and recorded and “edited” my first video (when VCRs were still cool) when I was about 11. Through a black & white film course that included darkroom work, I was introduced to a newer perspective in photography — a significant turning point in my creative explorations. I’m now also working with moving images using HDSLRs.
